Yes. By law, we are required to outfit the rental pontoon boat with all the necessary safety equipment. For the safety of our rental boats, we do not provide anchors. Please ask your check-in staff member any safety questions you may have.
Please be prepared for a full day on the water and in the sun. We suggest towels, sunscreen (non-spray please), hats, UV Shirts and a change of clothes. Although there may be an option for food and refreshment where you are boating, we suggest a cooler full of refreshments, snacks and food. Do remember that boating has similar laws to automobiles in regard to alcohol, so bring your DD. Don't want to worry, ask us about our Captained Charter Luxury Pontoon Boat Rental.
Yes. All that is required is proper identifications to get a Rental Boat. We will walk you through the rental boat operations and answer any questions you may have regarding safety and local waterway knowledge. Although you are responsible for rental boat damage, we have found captains that use safe boating practices rarely have any issues. To help you prior to launch we suggest some YouTube research. Should you have more questions, just ask us when you pick up your pontoon rental boat. If you are still uneasy but want an unforgettable day on the water, consider our Captained Luxury Pontoon Boat Charter.
Put safety first! If your Rental Boat breaks down, make every effort to get to shore, tie-up and calm yourself. Should you be too far from shore, try and wave down another nearby boater. In general, boaters are very helpful and put safety first. At that time give us a call and we will walk through next steps. Wireless signal can be weak in the area so finding that neighbor boater or a landline may be productive.
Propellers are the most commonly damaged part on boat rentals. To avoid this damage to your Lake Havasu Pontoon Boat Rental, please stay in deep water and trim the motor up as you approach the shore and shallow areas. Additional common damages include pontoon deck corners, bow damage, and vinyl & flooring damage.
No. We are unaware of any boats that have brakes including our Pontoon Boat Rentals. Instead, boats have forward, neutral, and reverse along with an anchor (if provided) as the worst-case scenario. To slow a boat, simply put the throttle slowly into reverse. You'll feel the boat slow. If your motor has broken down and you are adrift, an anchor (if provided) thrown into the water may slow or stop you. PS... Never throw an anchor at a dock, person, sensitive environment, or other boat.
